River kayaking

The main activity at RCCK is river kayaking – between rapids and calm waters, everyone can have fun!
🌊 What is river kayaking?
River kayaking is a pure pleasure activity for nature lovers. It allows paddlers to explore rivers that are often inaccessible to walkers and to enjoy the sounds of birds, far from the noise of civilization.
For thrill-seekers, no worries – this sport is practiced on rivers with varying currents: rapids, waterfalls, drops, rollers... But if you’re not into rapids, river kayaking can also be enjoyed on calm waters.
🏞️ Where we paddle
RCCK mainly practices river kayaking on the Aisne River, which flows through the southern Ardennes. Our favorite spots for beginners are between Rethel and Biermes.
For more experienced paddlers, Château-Porcien offers a small drop that's perfect for playing with the current.
The club also travels across France to paddle in amazing places – the Alps, the Vosges, and many more!

RCCK loves to share this sport with as many people as possible! During the summer season, we rent kayaks and recreational canoes so everyone can discover the Aisne between Rethel and Château-Porcien, or Seuil and Rethel.
